UMNO election nomination process - Najib, Muhyiddin win uncontested

The process of nomination for UMNO election 2013 held simultaneously throughout the country and went smoothly when it begin at 8 am and closed on 5 pm today.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin were among the earliest to submit their forms at the Putra World Trade Centre, PWTC.

For presidency and deputy presidency post, both Datuk Seri Najib and Tan Sri Muhyiddin has won uncontested.

Umno Election Committee chairman Tan Sri Tajol Rosli, when announcing the result, said there were no other nomination forms received, except from the two leaders.

There were no other nomination forms received for both post, except for both leaders until it closed on 5 pm.

It is a positive development because UMNO members still receive their leadership. Members also felt that both of them are still able to lead the party and the country.

Sambutan Hari Angkatan Tentera (ATM) kali ke-80

KUALA LUMPUR - Sambutan sempena Hari Angkatan Tentera (ATM) kali ke-80 yang diadakan di Dataran Merdeka berlangsung gah bagi memperlihat dan mempamerkan lambang kekuatan bagi pasukan pertahanan negara.

Antara perkara yang menarik berlaku sepanjang sambutan tersebut ialah ketibaan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak dengan menaiki kereta kebal terbaru ATM iaitu AFCV 8X8. Timbalan Perdana Menteri turut hadir menaiki kereta perisai model 8X8.

Kehadiran dua pemimpin tertinggi negara itu menerima tepukan gemuruh apabila kehadiran kedua-dua pemimpin tersebut serba lengkap dengan uniform ‘Loreng Digital’ yang memberi kesan mendalam kepada pengunjung.

Antara persembahan lain yang adalah persembahan aksi akrobatik 29 anggota tentera yang menaiki motosikal yang turut menjadi tumpuan apabila melompat melepasi enam buah kenderaan Proton Saga.

Selain itu juga turut diadakan demontrasi pantas oleh sepasukan anggota elit menyelamatkan orang kenamaan serta pertunjukkan pasukan penyelamat bom yang juga tidak kurang hebatnya.

Pada akhir sekali, acara berkenaan dimeriahkan dengan perarakan pasukan-pasukan pencaragam serta perarakan aggota tentera yang melibatkan pertunjukan sebanyak 200 alatan ketenteraan udara, laut dan darat.

BIGSTAR – Kpop Artist Showcase

The 5-member South Korean boyband, BIGSTAR is led by FeelDog, along with Raehwan, Jude, Baram, and Sunghak will be in town to cause a adrenaline rush and steal the hearts of Kpop lovers in Malaysia. Focusing on hiphop-electro genre, BIGSTAR has just released their mini-album “HangOut”, showcasing the catchy song "Run&Run", “HOTBOY”, and “BABY GIRL”, to name a few.

Bibap - Delicious Musical (Non Verbal Performance) 
A nonverbal performance based on the Korean representative dish, bibimbap (rice mixed with vegetables and beef), the actors mimic the sound of making bibimbap with beat-boxing and a cappella, demonstration of motions through b-boying, and acrobatics and martial arts.

Mahkamah tolak rayuan seorang peminjam mahu saman PTPTN

KUALA LUMPUR - Seorang pegawai bank, yang namanya telah disenarai hitam kerana didakwa telah gagal melunaskan pinjaman pendidikan, hari ini gagal dalam usahanya untuk mengubah keputusan Mahkamah Sesyen menolak samannya terhadap Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN).

Hakim Mahkamah Tinggi, Datuk Seri Zakaria Sam menolak di dalam kamar rayuan Mandeep Singh untuk mengetepikan keputusan Mahkamah Sesyen menolak samannya terhadap PTPTN.

Peguam Abdul Malik Hakim yang mewakili Mandeep memberitahu wartawan bahawa hakim itu juga memerintahkan anak guamnya untuk membayar kos sebanyak RM3,500 kepada PTPTN.
