State MIC chairman Datuk M.S. Mahadevan said the incident occurred about 8.30pm when Dr Subramaniam was on his way to Malacca to attend a meeting to discuss the organisation of the MIC General Assembly, which will be held on Nov 30 here.
He said Dr Subramaniam, who is also the MIC deputy president, was currently being treated at the Alor Gajah Hospital and was in stable condition.
