Inspiring Korea Festival









INSPIRED BY KOREAN CULTURAL FESTIVAL
IN THE HEART OF KUALA LUMPUR

Hallyu or Korean Wave has been an unprecedented heat and it continues to flourish in Malaysia. As Korea gradually welcomes the crisper autumn breezes, cobalt blue skies and dazzling foliage, aiming to create an avenue for all Korea lovers in Malaysia to EXPERIENCE THE INSPIRING KOREA, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Korea Tourism Organization Kuala Lumpur Office (KTO KL), is hosting the first ever Inspiring Korea Festival in Malaysia on 20-22 September 2013, at the prestige Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, to be graced by His Excellency Cho Byungjae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Malaysia. The Managing Director of KTO KL, Mr. Yun Jae Jin invited “I expect this Festival to create a big momentum to promote Korean culture and tourism, through a series of inspiring and exciting events; I look forward to welcoming you there!”

BIGSTAR – Kpop Artist Showcase


The 5-member South Korean boyband, BIGSTAR is led by FeelDog, along with Raehwan, Jude, Baram, and Sunghak will be in town to cause a adrenaline rush and steal the hearts of Kpop lovers in Malaysia. Focusing on hiphop-electro genre, BIGSTAR has just released their mini-album “HangOut”, showcasing the catchy song "Run&Run", “HOTBOY”, and “BABY GIRL”, to name a few.

Bibap - Delicious Musical (Non Verbal Performance) 
A nonverbal performance based on the Korean representative dish, bibimbap (rice mixed with vegetables and beef), the actors mimic the sound of making bibimbap with beat-boxing and a cappella, demonstration of motions through b-boying, and acrobatics and martial arts.

Mahkamah tolak rayuan seorang peminjam mahu saman PTPTN



KUALA LUMPUR - Seorang pegawai bank, yang namanya telah disenarai hitam kerana didakwa telah gagal melunaskan pinjaman pendidikan, hari ini gagal dalam usahanya untuk mengubah keputusan Mahkamah Sesyen menolak samannya terhadap Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN).

Hakim Mahkamah Tinggi, Datuk Seri Zakaria Sam menolak di dalam kamar rayuan Mandeep Singh untuk mengetepikan keputusan Mahkamah Sesyen menolak samannya terhadap PTPTN.

Peguam Abdul Malik Hakim yang mewakili Mandeep memberitahu wartawan bahawa hakim itu juga memerintahkan anak guamnya untuk membayar kos sebanyak RM3,500 kepada PTPTN.

Kelantan beat neighbour Terengganu 3-1

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Cup defending champion, Kelantan defeated Terengganu 3-1 in a Group C match of the Malaysia Cup at Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah, Kuala Terengganu tonight.

The error committed by Terengganu skipper Hasmizan Kamarodin punished the turtle squad when he scored an own goal in the 27th minute.

Indra Putra Mahayuddin later made it 2-0 for Kelantan in the 53rd minute.

However, the turtle squad reduced the deficit when Mohd Ashaari Shamsuddin scored in the 75th minute but the Terengganu joy was short-lived when Mohd Badhri Radzi confirmed victory for the ‘Red Warriors’ in the 85th minute.

Pahang, playing in another group C match, collected the full three points when they beat Negeri Sembilan 3-0 at Stadium Darul Makmur, Kuantan.

The three goals for Pahang came from Matías Ruben Conti in the 50th minute, R.Gopinathan (70th) and Azidan Sarudin (83rd).

In a Group A match, the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) drew 1-1 with Selangor at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium.

ATM started strongly when import Marlon Alex James found the opponent’s goal in the 37th minute but Mohd Fitri Shazwan Raduwan equalised for Selangor in the 74th.

Johor were also held to a 2-2 draw with Sime Darby at the Pasir Gudang Municipal Council Stadium, Johor.

Johor Darul Takzim (Johor DT), playing in Group B, had a comfortable 5-2 win over Felda United at the Temerloh Mini Stadium, Pahang.

At the Shah Stadium, Selangor PKNS went on a goal-scoring spree with a 5-0 win over T-Team.

In a Group B match, Kedah recorded their first win when they beat Perak 1-0 at Stadium Perak, Ipoh. The Kedah solitary goal came from Nelson San Martin in.
